I took a bit of a social media breather this month. (Maybe a lot of us have.) That also includes paying attention to my blog. It’s been a trying month to say the least, but I’m so, so hopeful that things will get better as the year goes on.

I’m brushing off the dust a bit with my first post of the new year and new 2021 save the dates for Minted. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I love designing for this category! Creating a design around a great photo and getting creative with the text is just a ridiculously fun challenge for me. It becomes increasingly difficult to come up with something new each year, but it doesn’t stop me from trying.

In addition to these cards being selected as Editor’s Picks, “Name Frame” (shown below) was also chosen as the winner for the “Name in Lights” Award! This special award is for “the best design that highlights the couple’s names in a unique or bold way”. I’m blown away and so grateful for the shoutout from Minted. What a great way to kick off the new year!

“Sweetest Day” (below) is a simple, full photo design with a calligraphy-inspired script typeface announcing your upcoming wedding. I’m very excited to report that both of these save the dates have already started to sell, which gives me hope that people are starting to plan weddings again.

Last but not least, I introduce you to “Signed and Sealed”. This card features room for not one, but three of your engagement photos. (Sometimes it’s hard to pick just one!) I used all that glorious white space for simple details and the personal touch of a “signature”. Isn’t she lovely?

I plan to update the blog more frequently this year with new work, so be on the lookout for more pretty paper soon! In the meantime, I hope your new year is off to a beautiful start.
