Stationery designer friends, I’m so excited to introduce you to the Stationery Stock Shop, a little dream of mine that I’m thrilled to finally make a reality. This new venture is all about giving my fellow paper peeps stock imagery and mockups specifically for promoting and showcasing their stationery designs.
The Backstory
I was feeling really frustrated with social media (I’m looking at you, Instagram!) and never having enough images to just pick up and post. My dream was a stockpile of images just for showing my cards, invitations and paper goods. Images that weren’t cluttered with props and were neutral enough to work with my brand and let my designs be the focus. To my knowledge, nothing exactly like that exists, so I decided to just do it for myself. As I was showing my husband the holiday images I shot, it dawned on both of us that other designers were probably struggling with the same issues. So I decided to post them for sale and just like that, The Stationery Stock Shop was born.
The Images
My stock images are intended to be used as mockups for designers to showcase their own work. I’ve used Photoshop smart objects to make things easy and take the guesswork out of lining things up. I’ll share more about smart objects in another post, but if you’ve never used them, they are going to change your life and save you tons of time. (Note that smart objects require Photoshop.) The hi-res images are all 4200×2800 px, which gives you plenty of resolution to crop for social media, online portfolios, etc.
