A few weeks ago on Instagram, I posted a peek of a family wedding we recently attended and once I saw the professional photos, I couldn’t resist sharing more.

Let me start by saying that planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic is no small feat. Jason and Christina had been engaged for a while and were planning their day for well over a year. When Covid hit in March, I don’t think anyone thought their September wedding was in jeopardy of being affected. Ha! The best laid plans, right? As the months passed, they were determined the wedding would go on, even if it wasn’t going to look like what they had originally envisioned. They cut the guest list from 175 to 50, we wore masks and kept socially distant, but I’m not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best weddings my husband and I have been to. Turns out, all you really need is a few friends and family and a whole lot of love! Good food, cocktails and a DJ only add to the joy.

I rarely take on custom work these days, but will always do it for family. Jason and Christina opted to use an email invitation given the situation and the need to be able to update guests frequently. But I was happy to help with the day-of paper goods. Their style and the reception venue was the stuff of my design dreams; modern, industrial chic and elegantly minimalistic. Seriously. It was a match made in design heaven.

Speaking of the venue…The Roundhouse is a converted factory built in the 1800s in Beacon, NY and sits along a beautiful waterfall. Thanks to an unbelievably beautiful day, the ceremony and cocktail hour took place outside beside those gorgeous falls. The party moved inside for dinner to a room of exposed brick, wood beams and hanging Edison-bulb lights. 😍 😍

We created the ceremony programs, cocktail and dinner menus and seating cards in a simple, modern style. The menus were designed in contrasting black and white and were stacked at each place setting.

So happy for this beautiful couple and honored to have been a part of their special day, even amidst a pandemic. Love prevails! ❤️
